This week marks the three-year anniversary of the 2016 south Louisiana flood. The state received one-point-two billion dollars from the feds to rebuild. Office of Community Development Executive Director Pat Forbes says 90-percent of the homeowners eligible for Restore grant dollars have received checks, the other 10-percent will get their money soon…

Brown says the higher the humidity, the more water available in the air for storm systems to utilize, thus increasing the chance of an intense downpour.

The GumboPAC, which is a super-PAC that supports Governor John Bel Edwards has released two television ads, one of them goes after Republican challenger Eddie Rispone, the other fellow GOP contender Ralph Abraham. U-L Lafayette Political Science Professor Pearson Cross says the GumboPAC was instrumental in Edwards winning the governor’s race four years ago…

The anti-Rispone ad claims the Baton Rouge businessman failed to properly pay workers and attempted to hire foreign workers instead of labor from Louisiana. Rispone’s campaign says the ad is an attempt to distract voters that Louisiana ranks dead last in almost every category.
