The Powerball jackpot for tonight is estimated at $1.55 billion, the third-largest prize in the game’s history. Spokesperson Dustin Annison says since July, Powerball ticket sales in the Bayou State through yesterday are over $22.8 million.

The Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for 18-year-old Terroin Atkins. He’s accused of fatally shooting 26-year-old Bre’unte Hicks at a Circle K in Jonesboro following the Jonesboro-Hodge homecoming game. Hicks is the son of the head football coach at Jonesboro-Hodge Terrance Blakenship.
