Les Miles divorce from LSU is complete as the former Tigers coach has agreed to take a one-point-five million dollar lump sum as part of his buyout from his contract. Miles was fired in September of 2016 and his buyout clause said he would receive 9.5 million dollars over six years. But by taking 1.5 million dollar lump sum, he leaves five million dollars on the table, so the two sides can move forward. Miles has been linked to the head coaching job at Kansas.

For the first time since 2005 and only the second time in school history, Nicholls won a Southland Conference championship in football with a resounding 44-0 win in the River Bell Classic.
