The Pelicans have won three straight games and five of the last seven heading into tonight’s home game against Houston. The team continues to be led offensively by forwards Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, both averaging over 20 points per game. Coach Stan Van Gundy says Williamson has expanded his offensive game.

The Grambling men’s basketball team grabbed a road victory over Alcorn State last night 67-62. With the win, the Tigers are now 9-8 on the season and sit at third place in the SWAC with a 7-3 conference record.
The Southern Jaguars lost a close one yesterday to Jackson State 57-53. The Jags struggled to score as only two players were in double figures. Southern has a 4-8 record after the loss.
After two hurricanes and a coronavirus pandemic, the McNeese Cowboys will return to the football field this Saturday to kick-off their spring season by visiting Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas. The Southeastern men’s basketball team will be on the road to take on Sam Houston tomorrow at 6:30. Sam Houston is tied for the Southland lead with an 8-1 conference record while the Lions sit at 4-4 in the conference.
