LSU is at Mississippi State for a 2:30 kickoff this Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled offensively, averaging 27 points a game and 376 yards of total offense. And State will start a freshman at Q-B Garrett Schrader.

NFL-dot-com’s Tom Pelissero reports that Saints running back Alvin Kamara is dealing with a high ankle sprain that will limit him at practice this week, but Kamara still hopes to play this Sunday in Chicago. Kamara played in 39 of 66 offensive snaps versus Jacksonville last Sunday and had just 31 yards rushing and 35 yards receiving.

Tonight in Fun Belt action, South Alabama visits Troy and tomorrow the Cajuns visit Arkansas State. U-L Lafayette is a 6.5 point favorite.

And Grambling State Coach Broderick Fobbs is looking for a quarterback to step up and take over as the leader on offense. Fobbs played three Q-Bs in the Tigers 23-10 win over Alabama A-and-M on Saturday. G-S-U is off this Saturday and will return to action on October 26th versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
