And the Saints have placed wide receiver Cam Meredith on injured reserve. Coach Sean Payton says Meredith needs his knee scoped, so the free-agent signee in the offseason finishes with just nine catches on the season.

Week 10 of the NFL season kicks off tonight with Carolina traveling to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. The Panthers are six and two, just one game back of New Orleans for first place in the NFC South.

LSU’s Ed Orgeron says free safety John Battle and defensive linemen Breiden Fehoko will likely not play Saturday against Arkansas. Battle hurt his ankle against Alabama and Fehoko has been bothered by a left arm injury. The Tigers are looking for their third straight win over the Hogs.
