Just one day after Drew Brees announced his retirement, the Saints have signed quarterback Jameis Winston to a one-year deal worth $12 million. Winston will battle with Taysom Hill for the opportunity to replace Drew Brees as the team’s signal-caller.

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson had a breakout season with the Saints last season with 13.5 sacks and now he’s getting paid. Cincinnati has reportedly signed the 26-year-old to a four-year, 60-million dollar contract.

Louisiana Tech will host the number 4-ranked Ole Miss Rebels on the diamond in Ruston tonight at 6 p.m. Nicholls will host the Ragin Cajuns baseball team tonight at Didier Field. The Colonels are 7-7 on the young season.
