At a going away-party for new Pelicans Center DeMarcus Cousins, the three-time All-Star gave a brief emotional speech where he said his love for Sacramento has never changed. Cousins is said to be great in the community, but he’s had his share of run-ins with teammates, coaches and referees. The LHSAA hopes to release the brackets for the boys basketball playoffs today. They were delayed a day because of a sportsmanship hearing involving Central LaFourche, who was involved in an alteraction with East St. John last Friday and the second half of that game was not played.
