At a going away-party for new Pelicans Center DeMarcus Cousins, the three-time All-Star gave a brief emotional speech where he said his love for Sacramento has never changed. Cousins is said to be great in the community, but he’s had his share of run-ins with teammates, coaches and referees. Cousins is expected to arrive in New Orleans today, the Pels next game is Thursday against Houston.

The LHSAA hopes to release the brackets for the boys basketball playoffs today. They were delayed a day because of a sportsmanship hearing involving Central LaFourche, who was involved in an alteraction with East St. John last Friday and the second half of that game was not played.

The LSU men’s basketball team is looking to avoid its 14th straight loss tonight as they host Auburn. Coach Johnny Jones was asked about how his team is dealing with all of the losing…
