After receiving significant backlash, First Lady Jill Biden is backing off the idea of having both LSU and Iowa at the White House to celebrate making it to the championship game. Some have described it as an awful idea and New Orleans Congressman Troy Carter says if both schools get an invite, it diminishes the value of the trip….

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport reports Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Hendon Hooker is visiting with the Saints today. Hooker threw for over three-thousand yards and completed nearly 70=percent of his passes last season, before an ACL injury late in the year. Hooker also threw 27 touchdown passes and two interceptions in 11 starts and could be avialable when the Saints pick with the 29th selection in the first round.
Jerry Arledge is stepping down as West Monroe High School’s head fooball coach. Arledge has been on West Monroe’s sidelines for 31 seasons and was the defensive coordinator when the school won eight state titles from 1992 to 2012. KNOE-TV Sports Director Aaron Dietrich says it’s the end of an era.
