Big changes have been made with the U-L Lafayette softball program. Head coach Alyson Habetz has fired her hitting coach Shellie Landry and her pitching coach Shelbi Sunseri after the Cajuns failed to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1998.

Former Cajuns coach Gerry Glasco has guided Texas Tech to the Women’s College World Series Championship series. Glasco’s Red Raiders defeated Oklahoma three to two yesterday as the Sooners will not win a fifth straight national championship. Texas blanked Tennessee two to nothing and the championship series begins tomorrow night in Oklahoma City.
