One month after his older brother, Tiger Bech, died tragically in the terror attack on Bourbon Street, Bech had six catches for 68 yards and caught the game winning touchdown pass on the final play of the game. In basketball news, the LSU men fell to 1-and-7 in SEC play with an embarrassing 89 to 58 loss to Texas on Saturday.

Nicholls ended McNeese’s 21-game Southland winning streak with a 71 to 63 win in Thibodaux. The Pokes host U-I-W tonight, while the Colonels host Houston Christian.

 

There are a lot of new faces on the LSU baseball team that are expected to contribute this season. One of them is catcher Luis Hernandez, who slugged 23 home runs and drove in 76 runs at Indiana State last season. The native of Puerto Rico is excited about playing for the Tigers this season…

Mikaylah Williams had 22 points and Flau’Jae Johnson had 20 points as the LSU women’s basketball team easily defeated Mississippi State 81 to 67. Johnson hit a season high with four three-pointers. The Lady Tigers have moved up to number six in the latest AP Top 25 poll and LSU is at Missouri on Thursday, 19th ranked Tennessee on Super Bowl Sunday.
