Louisiana Tech men’s basketball jumped out to a 25 to four lead and went on to beat FIU 81 to 64 to improve to 1-and-2 in Conference USA Play. Al Green hit five three-pointers in the first 13 minutes and finished with a season-high 21 points.

Sean Payton has the Denver Broncos in the playoffs in his second season in Denver. The Broncos will visit the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Payton was nine and eight in the postseason as the head coach of the Saints and he had Drew Brees as his quarterback. Rookie Bo Nix is the starting quarterback for the Broncos, and Payton expects the former Auburn and Oregon star to do just fine…

Meanwhile, the Saints announced today that they conducted a zoom meeting with Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. Glenn is very familiar with the Black and Gold. The former cornerback played for the Saints in 2008 and he was the Saints defensive backs coach from 2016 and 2020.
Saints special teams ace J-T Gray has been voted to the Associated Press All-Pro team. The Mississippi native led the NFL with 26 special teams tackles, which is a new career-high.
