Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham left last night’s preseason game against the Browns with a lower leg injury. He only suffered a brain, but the former LSU star was upset he was undercut on the play.
Former LSU baseball outfielder Leon Landry has been added to Paul Mainieri’s coaching staff. Landry is listed as an undergraduate assistant coach. He was known for stellar catches in the outfield and was a member of the 2009 national championship team.
Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler says she wants to move forward with plans to build a 100-million dollar sports events center that could be the future home of the Pelicans minor league team. The complex is also expected to feature retail stores and professional offices, while seating three-thousand individuals for a sporting event.
