The seventh ranked LSU Lady Tigers completed a perfect month of February with an 80-54 win over Georgia. Hailey Van Lith had a game-high 18 points, Angel Reese 17 points and 15 rebounds as the Lady Tigers have won seven in a row. They host Kentucky in the regular season finale on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark can surpass LSU legend Pete Maravich’s NCAA Division one scoring record if she scores 18 points against Ohio State. Pete Maravich’s eldest son, Jaeson Maravich, points out his Dad scored 3,667 points without a three-point line and in three years Caitlin is in his her fourth season. But Jaeson is still very complimentary of Caitlin’s game…

Sportscenter’s number one play is Chloe Larry’s halfcourt buzzer beating shot to help Parkway upset Walker in the Division one non-select playoffs last night. Parkway will play Denham Springs for a second consecutive title on Saturday night.

Saints officials are at the NFL draft combine in Indianapolis getting a chance to talk with draft prospects. Coach Dennis Allen says the combine allows scouts to attach a name and face to the film…

The Saints are also expected to release veteran safety Marcus Maye. The 30 year-old appeared in 17 games over the last two seasons and missed the final six games of 2023 due to an injury.

In college baseball…the second ranked LSU Tigers takes on 13th ranked Texas tonight at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Luke Holeman will start on the mound for the Tigers. The Ragin Cajuns face Vanderbilt this afternoon at Minute Maid and Louisiana Tech looks to stay undefeated when they take on Army in Sugarland, Texas.
