The LSU baseball team found out why Oregon State is 56-4 on the season. The Tigers made too many mistakes to keep up with the Beavers in a 13-1 loss to the top seeded team in the College World Series. LSU walked 12 batters, made a few mistakes in the field and could only manage four hits at the plate. Starting pitcher Eric Walker left the game in the third inning with forearm soreness in his throwing arm. Coach Paul Mainieri says that was the turning point of the game….

LSU will face Florida State on Wednesday night. The Tigers will need to beat F-S-U again to stay alive, if they do, they get Oregon State on Friday afternoon.

The LSU football team has received a commitment from Southern Lab running back Tyrion Davis. He is the seventh verbal pledge for the class of 2019. Davis is six-foot-one, 212-pounds and rushed for 12-hundred yards last season as a sophomore to help the Kittens win the Division Four state championship.

The Saints have announced they signed free agent center Chris Watt. Watt was a third round pick for the San Diego Charger in 17 games and has made eight starts during his career. He missed all of last season with a knee injury.

Elbert Robinson’s basketball career at LSU is done as he’s leaving the team because of medical reasons. The seven-foot-one, 300 pounder will remain at LSU as he’s set to graduate next year.

Former Barbe star Gavin Cecchini hit his first major league home run last night and he did it off Clayton Kershaw. The Dodgers Ace gave up four home runs but L-A still beat the Mets 10 to 6.
