Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has landed on the injured reserve list, which means he’ll miss at least the next four games because of a knee injury suffered in the loss to the Vikings. And Marquez Callaway is back with the Saints as he’s been signed to the team’s practice squad. Callaway caught 83 passes during three seasons in New Orleans from 2020 to 2022.

The Ragin Cajuns and ULM meet on Saturday to close out the regular season. A win for U-L Lafayette and they will qualify for a bowl game, while the Warhawks are trying to snap a nine-game losing streak. The Southland Conference announces Colonels running back Jaylon Spears as the league’s player of the year and Nicholls’ Tim Rebowe as Coach of the Year. Spears has 1,286 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns. Rebowe earns Southland Coach of the Year honors after leading the Colonels to an undefeated league season. Nicholls is at Southern Illinois on Saturday in a first round FCS playoff game.

The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame announces it will induct the 2024 class during the weekend of June 20 to the 22nd. Drew Brees and Seimone Augustus headline the class.
