Not every LHSAA school was happy after a special meeting’s vote last year defined a select school. 9 schools that were considered public schools decided to file a lawsuit against the committee’s decision saying that it should be left to a proper vote of the membership. That vote happened this week with a majority of high schools approving the previous definition. Todd Black, co-host of the Louisiana Prep Scoreboard show, thinks that

The LSU Defense continues to struggle this season as missed tackles and poor communication have the Tigers allowing teams to complete 47% of their 3rd downs. This is part of a much larger problem as LSU’s defense is giving up about 430 yards per game which will be a problem against an undefeated Missouri team whose offense is averaging 453 yards a game. The Tigers will travel to Missouri this Saturday and the game will kickoff at 11:00 AM on ESPN

ULM is as determined as ever to bounce back from a one point loss on Saturday to Appalachian State. While the loss was devastating for the Warhawks, Head Coach Terry Bowder acknowledges the play of his quarterback Jiya Wright as a major bright spot in their offense.

The Saints red hot start has ended in a .500 winning percentage through the first 4 games. After winning their first two games against the Titans and Panthers, New Orleans lost a contested matchup against the Packers and then got upset at home against the Buccaneers. The Saints defense is 11th in total yards per game at about 304, while the offense has struggled to click, producing just 285 yards per game this season which is 23rd in the league.
