After sweeping F-I-U over the weekend, Louisiana Tech will host former Conference USA foe Southern Miss tonight. The Golden Eagles are ranked 25th and coming off a sweep of James Madison in Hattiesburg. Southern Miss designated hitter Slade Wilks is swinging a hot bat with 14 home runs, nine of the home runs have come in the last 14 days. The Bulldogs are 19-and-18 and Logan McLeod has a 23-game on-base streak.

Also tonight, after a long layoff Nicholls returns to the diamond to play Mississippi Valley State in Thibodaux, Southeastern Louisiana hosts Jackson State. Tulane is at UNO.

On-3-dot-com is reporting the top women’s college basketball player in the transfer portal, Hailey Van Lith, is visiting LSU today for an official visit. Van Lith was an All-ACC player at Louisville the last two seasons, averaging 20 points a game.
