A new era of LSU men’s basketball tips off tonight as the LSU Tigers, led by first-year coach Matt McMahon, hosts Kansas City at 7 PM. Only two players are back from last year’s tournament team so the rebuild could take awhile for the former Murray State Coach. McMahon says he will not get hung up on mistakes in the season opener, but a lack of energy and effort is inexcusable as he tries to establish a new culture in Baton Rouge…

LSU moves up to number seven in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings after beating Alabama in overtime. Georgia is now ranked number one after knocking off previously top ranked Tennessee.

Louisiana Tech will travel to San Antonio Saturday to face defending Conference USA Champs, UTSA. The Roadrunners are undefeated in conference play behind the stellar play of quarterback Frank Harris. Bulldogs Coach Sunny Cumbie says it will be a tall task to stop the explosive UTSA offense…
