The Saints are back on the practice field today, getting ready for Sunday’s game against Cleveland. The Browns and New Orleans both lost their season openers. Coach Sean Payton says his guys are eager to make the necessary corrections….

This will be the Saints first game in Cleveland since 2006. That was the start of the Payton and Drew Brees era.

Former Saints cornerback Jabari Greer announced his retirement today on ESPN’s “First Take.” Greer was a member of the Saints Super bowl team, but he was released by the Black and Gold last February. Greer suffered a knee injury during the middle of last season and ended the year on the Saints injured reserve list.

Tonight Louisiana Tech will battle North Texas in their Conference USA opener. The Mean Green beat the Bulldogs 28 to 13 last season and held running back Kenneth Dixon to 25 yards on 12 carries. Tech head coach Skip Holtz….

LSU’s Les Miles anticipates wide receiver Travin Dural will be able to play this Saturday against ULM, despite his involvement in a car accident last weekend. Dural missed practice earlier this week, because of stitches on hsi forehead.

And Tulane announces they have less than one-thousand tickets available for Saturday night’s game against Southeastern Louisiana. Officials are expecting a sell-out.

Tonight the LHSAA Game of the Week is in Lake Charles as Washington-Marion hosts Sam Houston.
