Saints quarterback Drew Brees undergoes thumb surgery today in Los Angeles and once its completed an official timeline will be given on when the future hall of famer will return. Six weeks is the best guess at this point. New Orleans has re-signed quarterback J-T Barrett to the practice squad and put wide receiver Keith Kirkwood on injured reserve.

ESPN.com’s Andrew Lopez reports that Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram and guard Lonzo Ball have been full participants in the team’s voluntary offseason workouts. Both players dealt with significant injuries last season.
