ULM Poli Sci Professor Joshua Stockley says it’s likely to boost his name recognition statewide for potential run at governor, if the political winds shift on Tuesday.

The price at the pump has seen a decline. The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.47 in Louisiana today, down three cents from yesterday, nine cents since last week, and nearly sixteen cents since last month. Gas Buddy.com fuel analyst Dan McTeague says we may see the price continue to drop even further.

3,000 homes are still without power after a nasty line of storms hammered central Louisiana yesterday. Along with heavy rains and winds, seven tornadoes were were spotted, with an EF-2 tornado in Grant Parish injuring two people. Five of the seven twisters touched down in Rapides Parish. Governor John Bel Edwards will be in Washington Parish around noon to survey damage.
