A powerful ad hits the airwaves slamming Governor Edwards’ hiring of former Deputy Chief of Staff and alleged sexual harasser and assaulter Johnny Anderson. The ad features alleged victim Juanita Washington who says when she reported the harassment, she was out of a job. Political Analyst Bernie Pinsonat.

The Edwards campaign responded “Within hours of Ms. Washington’s allegations being brought to Gov. Edwards’ attention, Johnny Anderson’s employment was ended.”

The US Supreme Court agrees to hear a Louisiana abortion case that deals with the state law requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges. The court struck down a similar Texas law in 2015. Loyola Law Professor Dane Ciolino says something big is likely to happen.

Our Lady of the Lake cut the ribbon this morning in Baton Rouge on its new five-story children’s hospital which took over three years to construct. President of Children’s Health Trey Dunbar says the total cost of the construction was $230 million, which was funding with the help of many contributions from the community.

Vice President Mike Pence is headed to New Orleans Saturday to rally Republicans to vote Republican in the governor’s race and Don Trump Jr. is headed to Lafayette Monday. It’s taken a while for prominent national Republicans to get involved, and LSU-Shreveport Poli Sci Professor Jeff Sadow says blame the jungle primary system.
