The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Police Department says a linebacker was arrested this week on domestic abuse battery charges. Sergeant Bill Abrams says they responded to a complaint at one of the parking towers on campus in reference to a domestic disturbance…

Abrams says based on statements from the victim and also video evidence they arrested Christian Hill. Team officials announce Hill has been suspended indefinitely.

Louisiana agriculture officials are seeking looser restrictions from the federal government on the use of drones. Farmers can use drones to make crop production more efficient, but current FAA rules make this illegal. LSU AgCenter Vice Chancellor Rogers Leonard says agriculture is probably one of the largest areas where drone use can be done safely…

The FAA will release proposed modified rules and regulations regarding drones next month.

The Council for a Better Louisiana and Louisiana Public Broadcasting are asking the public to submit questions they’d like to see answered during the televised US Senate race debate scheduled for October 14th. The Shreveport debate will feature all three main contenders, Democratic incumbent Mary Landrieu and Republicans Congressman Bill Cassidy and retired Air Force Col. Rob Maness.
