Shreveport and New Orleans rank in the top 10 fattest metro areas in the country, according to a new study from WalletHub. Shreveport came in number 2 and The Big Easy No. 5. WalletHub analyst Jill Gonzales says the study analyzed fat prevalence, weight-related medical problems, and a healthy environment. She says this isn’t good as health problems typically mean money problems..:

4 Fed Ex employees in Kenner are booked with theft charges for allegedly stealing more than $13,000 worth of electronics in the shipping department, according to cops. Kenner Police say an anonymous tip came in which resulted in the arrest of the four men from New Orleans each for theft of over $1500.
Gas prices in Louisiana are up almost a quarter from the prior month to a statewide average of about $1.80, according to AAA. Fuel analyst Don Redman says refineries are shutting down as they transition from the winter to summer blend gasoline, but we should start to see the price at the pump level off in a couple months…:
