Tropical Storm Cindy has been downgraded to a tropical depression, but heavy rains continue around the state. U2 front man Bono visited with Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise’s staff and signed a card wishing the injured House Majority Whip a speedy recovery. The band performed in Washington DC this week. Scalise was grievously injured when a gunman opened fire at a Republican baseball practice last Wednesday, injuring several people. The congressman is in fair condition.
