A 36-year-old plumber from Clinton is behind bars today, accused of killing three men and injuring a fourth in a string of shootings that started in July. One of the men killed is 66-year-old Carroll Breeden of Pride and his daughter, Marcy Breeden Slotte says she’s still having trouble coming to grips with what happened….

A majority of House members are in Baton Rouge today to discuss how the state will address the loss of over a billion dollars in temporary taxes, which will create a massive budget deficit for the fiscal year that begins in July. Alexandria Representative Lance Harris is not ready to say what is the best solution, but the goal is to stablize the budget….

The state department of transportation has received 61-million dollars from the federal government that will go towards bridge repair, improving the surface of roads and alleviating congestion in some areas. State Transportation Secretary Shawn Wilson says the money will be put to good use….

Seven bridges in several different parishes will be replaced as a result of this money.

The 2007 LSU National championship football team will be back in Tiger Stadium on Saturday and they’ll be recognized at halftime. LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette says former Head Coach Les Miles will also be there….
