Louisiana Congressman and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise’s attempt to be the next U-S House Speaker is over. Scalise did not have enough votes. In a press conference, Scalise says he will continue as the majority leader but there’s still work to be done.

The gubernatorial primary is tomorrow but that’s not the only item on the ballot. John Tobler with the Secretary of State’s Office advises voters to use their Geaux Vote app to know what’s on their ballot before they head to the polls.
Polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM.
It’s expected that the governor’s race will go to a run-off between Republican Jeff Landry and Democrat Shawn Wilson. The runoff is scheduled for November 18th.
