Unseasonable cold temperatures are on the way from a front that hits the state this afternoon. National Weather Service Meteorologist Patrick Omundson says the front will bring a little rain and very strong winds. He says a wind advisory is in effect for the northern half of the state from tonight until tomorrow morning…

Ruston receives a 17-million dollar federal transportation grant to transform the city’s connection with Louisiana Tech. Mayor Ronny Walker says the money will go towards building seamless transition of streets, bike paths, and walkways leading from downtown Ruston to the Tech campus.
