The snake is believed to be a former pet released into the wild. No humans were injured but the python did eat two pet geese.

It looks like the chances of holding a Constitutional Convention are slim, the convention bill is unlikely to reach the Senate this session. LAPolitics-dot-com publisher Jeremy Alford says lawmakers are running out of time, but a convention could orchestrated through a special session or House intervention.

Louisiana will be partnering with a federal program to provide Summer grocery-benefits through SUN Bucks this year, despite an earlier decision against it. DCFS Secretary David Matlock says Sun Bucks, also known as Summer EBT, should be added automatically to eligible SNAP card.
