Saints quarterback Drew Brees has issued an apology on his Instagram account regarding the comments he made regarding his stance against kneeling during the national anthem. After receiving a ton of criticism, Brees wrote this morning that it breaks his heart for the pain he’s caused. Brees says he stands with the black community in the fight against systemic racial injustice and police brutality.
