One year ago today, a lone gunman shot Congressman Steve Scalise at a ballpark in Virginia. The bullet shattered Scalise’s hip, damaged several organs and caused a lot of blood loss, nearly killing him. After months of physical therapy, the House Majority Whip returns to the diamond tonight for the Congressional baseball game.

The search is on for the man with a missing finger that was found in a St. Tammany turtle. Matt Doyle has the story.

A priest accused of sexual misconduct turned himself into the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s office. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says 75-year-old Steven Michael Guidry was forthcoming with information about the incident that happened several years ago at his home in Morrow…

The victim was 16-years-old at the time. Guidry has been on administrative leave since word first surfaced of the investigation.

A bid to repair the I-210 bridge in Lake Charles has been submitted that claims the work can be done in 365 days. State Transportation Secretary Shawn Wilson says their own estimations pegged the time at 17 months at best.
