Forecasters are keeping an eye on the system in the Atlantic that’s expected to become Tropical Storm Fred later today. State Climatologist Barry Keim says if the disturbance isn’t broken up by a mountain range in Hispaniola and makes its way into the Gulf possibly Saturday it’s anybody’s guess as to Fred’s potential and path.
