While Bill Cassidy and his Republican challengers have dominated the news cycle in Louisiana’s U.S. Senate race, there are three Democrats who have entered the race. Andrew Greenstein reports.

According to a report from NOLA.com, FEMA has rejected the state’s request for 52-million dollars in federal money that would pay for the increased security efforts that were in place for last year’s Super Bowl and Mardi Gras celebration.  The 52-million dollars in reimbursement would pay for overtime costs of law enforcement officer and a temporary shelter set up for the homeless who were living downtown.

Cut 8 (10) “…on their competitors.”

If you are craving crawfish, you can find some, but it will cost you. Right now, the Crawfish App says live crawfish average $7.24 a pound, and boiled crawfish, $10.10 a pound. Founder of the app, Lanie King says there are several reasons crawfish is more expensive early in the season.

Cut 11 (12) “…supply right now.”

King says as we move closer to the heart of the season, crawfish will get bigger, supply will increase and prices will continue to come down.
