A new report shows there are strong wage outcomes for men earning associate degrees and short-term credentials. Colleen Crain has the story.

Attorney Matthew Ory, who represents former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy, has released video evidence that he says shows Lacy was not at fault in a fatal wreck near Thibodaux last December. But State Police maintains Lacy was swerving, passing cars and his reckless operation caused the series of crash events. Lacy took his life on April 12th days before a grand jury was set to hear the evidence against him.

 

Another company announces an investment in Lafayette. Baton Rouge-based electrical contractor MMR announces that it’s expanding its footprint in Louisiana by investing in a new assembly plant in Lafayette. Economic Development Secretary Susan Bourgeois says it’s a huge win for both Lafayette and the state.

Cut 5 (13) “…an industrial contractor.”

That will create 200 direct new jobs with an average annual salary of 85-thousand dollars a year, along with more than 300 indirect new jobs.

The other big announcement for Acadiana is that DMR Technologies is building a drone manufacturing facility in Lafayette which is expected to create 520 direct jobs. President of the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, Mandi Mithcell…
