He points to the passage of House Bill 431, which moves Louisiana from a pure to a modified comparative fault.

Fifty-one men and women of Cadet Class 107 began their journey today toward becoming Louisiana State Police Troopers. The Pelicans wrap up their 2025 draft by taking Georgetown’s Micah Peavy with the 40th pick. The 23-year-old averaged 17 points a game for the Hoyas last season. Peavy joins Jeremiah Fears of Oklahoma and Derik Queen of Maryland in the Pels’ rookie class of 2025.
