The St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two passengers in the vehicle that fatally struck Sergeant Grant Candies during a high-speed chase early Sunday morning. The driver of that vehicle was arrested earlier. All three suspects are facing murder charges…all three are also seventeen years old.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents cite an Abbeville man for allegedly killing a black bear in Vermillion Parish. Corporal Derek Logan says 50-year-old Shannon Parker shot the 10-year-old female weighing 200 pounds.

Logan says the bear was killed by a high-power rifle near Palmetto State Park around March 1st. Logan says Parker told investigators he shot at a dark silhouette that he believed was a wild hog. Parker now faces hundreds of dollars in fines, possibly jail time and civil restitution totaling 10-thousand dollars for replacing the bear.
The Lady Tigers are headed back to the Sweet 16. They beat Florida State 101-71 last night. Coach Kim Mulkey says her bench players like Jada Richard came through when the team needed them in the first half…and Richard on what that was like..
