Landry is planning to hold a special session in February on crime.
Up first is a special session on redrawing the Congressional map, which is expected to take place next week. The courts have ruled that the map should contain two majority-minority districts. Republicans were committed in 2022 to having a map with only one black voting district. Democratic Baton Rouge Senator Cleo Fields believes the GOP-led Legislature will do the right thing this time…
