Former Governor Edwin Edwards has been admitted to the hospital again this time with double pneumonia, according to his wife Trina’s Facebook post. 93-year old Edwards spent the weekend in the hospital and was discharged Sunday after he experiences breathing difficulties. He tested negative for COVID and pneumonia over the weekend.

A federal lawsuit filed on behalf of Louisiana landlords seeks to overturn the moratorium on rental evictions ordered by the CDC. Luke Wake an attorney with the Pacific Legal Foundation, filed the suit on behalf of a group of property owners in Monroe and the Apartment Association of Louisiana. Wake says the CDC has no such authority.
The current moratorium expires on December 31st.
