A new poll shows Governor Edwards and Eddie Rispone tied at 47 percent ahead of the November 16th run-off election. Jeff Palermo has the story.

Reports say Pelicans rookie sensation Zion Williamson will miss the next several weeks after injuring his knee. That means Williamson is expected to miss the season opener in Toronto next Tuesday, and the team’s home opener against the Mavericks next Friday. Newly acquired forward Brandon Ingram is expected to fill in the missed minutes.

The Louisiana unemployment rate of 4.3 percent for September is at an 11-year-low according to a report from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics Louisiana Workforce Commission Secretary Ava Dejoie says the Bayou State has seen all kinds of industry expansion…

The employment picture is not rosy everywhere. Shreveport lost three-thousand jobs over the year, Houma 28-hundred and Monroe lost one-hundred.

A Shreveport man accused of shooting two people, including a police officer, on the Grambling State campus is in custody. There were concerns the incident was the start of a mass shooting event on campus but State Police Trooper Michael Reichardt says this was just an isolated incident…

Reichardt says the officer’s injury is non-life threatening, while the other shooting victim is in serious condition at a Shreveport hospital.
