The US Supreme Court has frozen a Louisiana law, set to kick in today, that would have required abortion clinics to have admitting privileges at a local hospital. Connor Ferril has more.

More details have arrived in the marijuana bust of Saints defensive tackle David Onyemata. Jefferson Parish Sherriff Joe Lopinto says the search was triggered by a seizure of a package headed to Onyemata’s residence.

The IRS is warning the public about “ghost preparers” ahead of filing taxes, where someone will prepare a return for a fee and leave the tax payer with an inaccurate return before vanishing.  IRS spokesperson Raphael Tulino says it’s important to find a credible pro when filing, but if you feel that may may have been scammed, he’d like you to fill out a form so law enforcement can be aware of the potential “ghost preparer.”

A rideshare driver for Lyft has been arrest and accused of kidnapping and raping an intoxicated passenger in Jefferson Parish. Lopinto says Hamad broke the responsibility he had to the passenger in getting her home safely.

Authorities say 30 year old Yousef Hamed picked up the victim from a bar and instead of taking her to her home, he then took her to his home in Harvey and raped the woman. Hamed’s bond was set at $400,000.
