Louisianians are getting a taste of fall this morning and the National Weather Service says it will be even cooler than this tomorrow. Forecaster Jonathan Brazzell with the NWS in Lake Charles says low temperatures this weekend are expected to be in the mid 50s…:

It’s a big game day in Louisiana and that means a big day for Louisiana restaurants. Erica Burns with the Louisiana Restaurant Association says now that the weather is beginning to cool down and football season is in full swing, severs will be busy taking care of many patrons…:

It’s reported that a Marine from Denham Springs was killed in a crash during a training exercise in California. 21-year-old Corporal Bryan Lauw went to Live Oak and after he graduated in 2012 he joined the Marines. The report indicates that 18 Marines were involved in the rollover accident when a multi-ton truck carrying them flipped on a paved road at a base in San Diego.

Former Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover has qualified to run for his old District 4 seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Glover, a Democrat, held the same spot in the House from 1996 to 2006 before he was elected Mayor of Shreveport. Political analyst Elliott Stonecipher says Glover is very popular in that district…:
