LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva is holding a press conference at this hour to discuss the future of the LSU men’s basketball program reportedly without Jonny Jones at the helm. After a dismal 10-21 season, it’s no surprise multiple sources report Jones will get the ax, and Alleva will look to hire his third men’s hoops coach since coming to LSU in 2008.

Every candidate in Louisiana’s four judicial races this year is a woman. A Tulane study authored by Sally Kenney finds 31-percent of Louisiana judges are women, up from 27-percent in 2011. But Kenney says the numbers mask the lack of female leadership outside East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes.

The author of the stripper age requirement bill says he will bring it up again in the regular session after it was blocked by a federal judge. Lake Charles Senator Ronnie Johns says the purpose of the bill is to curb sex trafficking because many victims are forced to work in strip clubs. He says anyone who thinks this form of modern day slavery doesn’t happen in Louisiana is sadly mistaken.
