The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teacher from Destrehan High School accused of having sex with a student. Kimberly Naquin, a geography teacher, is charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile, felony prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student, and fugitive from another agency. Kenner Police have an arrest warrant out for Naquin for 10 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
A New Orleans federal court is considering a plea by four groups seeking to stop the removal of Confederate monuments in the city. The New Orleans City Council voted 6-1 to remove the statues in December.
