LaPolitics.com is reporting that Hammond Representative Chris Broadwater has resigned from the state House to spend more time with his family and focus on his law practice. This means the Legislature will now have a 10th special election this term.
Penn National Gaming has announced the company will acquire Pinnacle Entertainment in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $2.8 billion. Pinnacle owns L’Auberge Casino Resorts in Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.
