Shaw says Officer LaValley confronted Cannon to arrest him on a previous second degree murder warrant when he was shot multiple times. Cannon is now wanted for first degree murder.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested 23-year-old Kaleb Clement of Paulina after he allegedly drove through two fences and on to the runway at Louis Armstrong airport in New Orleans. Colonel John Fortunato says luckily there were no planes on the tarmac during the incident, otherwise this could’ve ended much worse…

Clement is charged with one count of hit and run driving and one count of driving while intoxicated.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office says a Lake Charles man faces charges in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian. They say 27-year-old Jeremy Daniels was walking on the side of the road when he was struck and killed by a truck driven by 19-year-old Grant Henning. Henning, who fled the scene without rendering aid, is charged with felony hit-and-run.
