Louisiana Celebration Gator is making its third straight appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. The float has highlighted state tourism and encouraged an estimated 2.4 billion people to visit the Bayou State for the last two years. Secretary of State Billy Nungesser believes the gator has been a good return on investment.
Cajun fiddler Amanda Shaw from Mandeville and Alexandria country singer Alex Smith will entertain the Parade crowd.
And in case you hadn’t heard, Arena Football is coming to Lake Charles. The Area Football League announced the revival of the Louisiana Voodoo Franchise. The team last played as the New Orleans Voodoo in 2015. The Voodoo will begin play in Lake Charles next year.
