There are 49 confirmed cases of salmonella in Caldwell Parish and 31 people were hospitalized after eating jambalaya at a charity softball game. He says make sure you cook chicken thoroughly and don’t let it sit out.
Caddo Parish commissioners voted to remove a Confederate monument outside the courthouse. An earlier motion to allow the public to vote whether to keep the monument or not didn’t pass. Commissioners heard public comments that revealed over three-quarters of those spoke in favor of removing it. The monument has stood at the courthouse since 1906. A new location for the monument will be decided later.
