Bogalusa authorities have identified the teenager who was fatally shot outside of the high school’s football stadium during their homecoming game against Jewel Sumner last Friday. Police Chief Kendall Bullen says Jerry Smith was known to be involved in criminal activity….

Bullen says Smith was involved in the gunfight and they are seeking three persons of interest.

President of the Louisiana Humane Society Jeff Dorson says animal shelters are overcrowded and the state has one of the lowest spay and neuter rates in the country. And he says unregulated breeders only compound the issue with pets that have health issues being abandoned due to unregulated breeding.

Last year 82 Louisiana drivers ages 15 to 19 were involved in fatal crashes and almost 73-hundred were involved in injury crashes. State Police spokesperson Ross Brennan says it’s a good time for parents to talk to their teens about good driving habits.
