Today in Caddo Parish, a recount will take place to decide the sheriff’s race. As it stands now former State Police Commander and Democrat Henry Whitehorn defeated Republican John Nicholson by one vote. Caddo Parish Clerk of Court Mike Spence says they’ll rescan all of the mail-in ballots…

After allegedly escaping through a Southwest Airlines plane emergency hatch a passenger was arrested at the New Orleans airport last night. Prior to take-off while the plane was still at the terminal a man exited the plane and was apprehended after running away on the tarmac. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says he was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
